Jack Bowes makes theatre for the girls and the gays. His work explores radical acts of joy, the messiness of being alive in impossible circumstances, and liberation by any means necessary.

A true you-know-what of all trades, Jack (he/they) is a director, producer, actor, drag queen, and community organizer. Upcoming directing credits include Angry Fags with Ghostlight Ensemble, opening November 2025. Previously, Jack was the director and producer for both sold-out productions of The F*ggots and Their Friends Between Revolutions, at the Den and Bramble Arts Loft. They have also directed with Possibilities Theatre, the Whiskey Radio hour, and assisted Nick Bowling at the Marriott Theatre. As an actor, Jack is represented by Lily’s Talent Agency, and has performed at Steppenwolf’s 1700 Space, Music Theatre Works, Oil Lamp Theatre, and more.
